Titles and responsibilities
Watching tv the other night, I came upon a cornhole championship and heard the announcer say that the team was "the No. Two in the World." That was a shocker. There is a whole world of cornhole players? I guess so. And now these two have to take on the task of always being the best since they are No.Two. That means they have to hit the target of 27 feet from front ends of the boards every time they play or they will fall from the No. Two Spot. If you think that is easy, then you've never tried to throw the dopey little beanbag and get it in the hole. It will drive you crazy because it looks simple. So having the title of No. Two meant hours of practice for this team to get to the top. Once at Wilson we had a great girls' basketball team, and we won district title. So much fun because the girls had worked so hard and done so well. But the next step was the kick: we had to play Nazareth girls at regional.
